As an incoming junior, will I be able to complete the Certificate of Community Engagement within two years?
Yes, it is completely possible. Depending on your major or if you decide to tackle a minor, you may have to take an extra course load. However, it is done while taking community engagement classes (at times you can even double-dip in these courses!).

Since Bonner has cornerstones to complete each year, how will I complete all of them as an incoming junior?
You do not have to complete the cornerstones from the previous years. You are responsible for successfully completing the requirements from the year you start and forward.

Will I be able to balance my academic classes and complete my volunteer hours for the semester on time?
Yes! Depending on your course times, you and your volunteer site can coordinate a schedule that works for both of you.

A requirement for a Bonner Scholar consists of the completion of two Summer of Services. As an incoming junior Bonner Scholar, how will I complete that requirement to graduate?
As a junior, you will only have one summer with Bonner, so there isn’t a penalty, because it is not your fault (since you are graduating the following year). There isn’t an exact rule regarding this situation, but you must complete a summer of service in the summer of your junior year.

How will I know which volunteer site to work at?
It may not be a similar transition as the freshman cohort, but within the first semester you may visit several sites, preferably one that supports your major, but it can be any of the existing sites.

As an incoming junior, are the dorm rules restricted to a specific hall?
No, since you are not a freshman, there are no restrictions on where you choose to live on campus.
