Welcome Prospective Students

Bonner is a student-led program that gives students a chance at higher education who may not have had the opportunity. Bonner is a catalyst for social justice; students combine their academic and career interests into a force of change out in the community. Students volunteer on a weekly basis with a local non-profit and participate in leadership development training.

The Bonner Program is open to incoming freshman students and transfer students from different collegiate institutions. All students are eligible to apply for scholarship opportunities.

Our program consists of two kinds of need-based financial aid package opportunities. One includes a leader scholarship with $500 per semester, and the second is a Bonner Scholar, which can cover 100% of their demonstrated financial need.  Additionally, students are compensated through student employment for their work in the community.

“The Bonner Program does not simply reward a students' past service; it challenges and supports students to continue that service throughout college. As such, the program adopted the motto “access to education, opportunity to serve” as its guiding principle.”
